Welcome back to part two of my staircase railing series! Are you ready to climb twenty sets of stairs with me? Ok, let’s get going!
The staircase we will be climbing have staircase railings made of iron but with a wooden handrail. There are lots of great iron designs as well as interesting types of wood used on the handrail. My personal preference between the two is iron with a wooden handrail over iron with iron or brass handrail. That’s just me. What do you like?

Absolutely stunning.. all of them! I glean so much inspiration from your beautiful blog. Thank you for sharing all your tips! A-M xx
ReplyDeleteI really like metal spindles with a wood railing and wood newel posts.
ReplyDeleteYou posted some really nice staircases. Hard to choose a favourite.... the one from Southern Accents might be it, with the circles between the spindles and the detailing on the sides of the stairs. The chandelier in that picture is really nice too :-)

Susan, this post makes me want to get in really great shape so I can climb up all of these beautiful staircases! I can hear the cheers, instead of Rocky, Rocky, it will be Misti, Misti, Misti...can't you hear it? They are truly stunning photos! I still love the heavy, but plain and simple styles...

You know how I feel about staircases ... and these are right up my alley. I'm more traditional though and like picture's 3, 6, 10, and 19 best. I'm not a fan of the ornate ironwork or the white iron. But great pics! Thanks for sharing :)
